Head of the Presidential Civil Service and Personnel Directorate Sergei Dubik met with the European Commission’s Director-General for Home Affairs Stefano Manservisi.
Further to the decisions taken at the EU-Russia Summit, as well as the Permanent Partnership Council on Freedom, Security and Justice, a substantive and very constructive dialogue was held with EU representatives on countering corruption,.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged their nations’ experiences and specific approaches to countering corruption in Russia and EU member-states. They also discussed priorities for anti-corruption cooperation in various international formats, including possible joint anti-corruption initiatives and projects under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the International Anti-Corruption Academy.
Participants in the meeting identified methods for further cooperation between Russia and the EU in countering corruption.
