In Moscow Presidential Chief of Staff Sergei Naryshkin chaired a meeting of the Commission for Improving the System of Identifying and Supporting Gifted Children and Teenagers and National Final School Exam’s Organisation.
The Commission reviewed the violations identified in the organisation of the National Final School Exam in 2011.
The Commission decided to expand the list of activities of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science in order to implement the Presidential instructions of April 10, 2011 on improving the National Final School Exam’s organisation by introducing activities to develop a system of independent assessment of the quality of education, including a comprehensive assessment of educational outcomes.
In addition, the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science jointly with the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation have been charged with analysing the complaints received through the hotline regarding the National Final School Exam’s organisation.
The Commission decided to establish an interagency working group to draft a nationwide concept for identifying and supporting gifted children and teenagers, and a set of measures for its implementation. Presidential Aide Arkady Dvorkovich will be the working group’s head.
