The working group to prepare a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport held a meeting, via videoconference, to discuss the implementation of strategic and programme documents on physical culture and sport and a draft strategy on developing physical culture and sport in the Russian Federation through to 2030.
The meeting was chaired by Presidential Aide and Deputy Chairman of the Council Igor Levitin and Governor of the Primorye Territory and head of the working group Oleg Kozhemyako.
The participants discussed the results of implementing the strategy for developing physical culture and sport in the Russian Federation through to 2020, the federal targeted programme on Developing Physical Culture and Sport for 2016–2020 and approaches to the relevant draft strategy through to 2030.
Following the meeting and based on the Council members’ proposals, the reviewed documents will be submitted to the President at the upcoming Council meeting.
