Vladimir Putin met with Governor of Sakhalin Region Alexander Khoroshavin, members of the region’s business community and social sector workers.

The Governor informed Dmitry Medvedev that radiation levels in Sakhalin, which is located near Japan, remain within the norm and and do not exceed half the safety standard. All goods delivered from Japan are thoroughly inspected. Monitoring services conduct checks and publish reports every three hours.
