The message reads, in part:

“Recently, relations between our countries have become increasingly dynamic and substantive. This is to a large extent your personal achievement. Moscow is ready to continue our joint efforts to promote economic and investment cooperation, filling it with specific projects in the field of innovation and high technology, and the expansion of interparliamentary and humanitarian contacts.

I hope that thanks to your consistent support, bilateral cooperation will continue to grow for the benefit of the Russian and Australian people, and in the interests of peace, security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

I have very warm memories of our meeting in November 2010 in Seoul.”

In his message Dmitry Medvedev also reiterated the invitation to Julia Gillard to visit Russia.
