Meeting of the State Council Commission on Healthcare

January 21, 2022

Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired a meeting of the State Council Commission on Healthcare via videoconference.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Commission and Ivanovo Region Governor Stanislav Voskresensky, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev, Chairman of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund Yelena Chernyakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development in the Moscow Government Anastasia Rakova, heads of relevant federal and regional executive agencies, departmental associations of entrepreneurs and scientific expert organisations.

Stanislav Voskresensky reported on the preparations for a State Council Presidium meeting, scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

Detailed reports were delivered on modern healthcare trends in developed foreign countries and the experience of dealing with the pandemic of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (the Omicron variant). According to experts, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused serious changes in the healthcare policies of developed countries, raising the importance of preventive measures and increasing the level of healthcare system resources use. The pandemic has expedited the transition to more effective models of providing primary care assistance in neighbourhoods, as well as remote medical services using digital technologies.

The meeting participants also reviewed the implementation of Presidential instructions following the State Council Presidium meeting, held on October 31, 2019, on the tasks of the Russian Federation regions in the field of healthcare

The participants submitted proposals on various matters, due to be discussed at the State Council Presidium meeting, based on which a relevant report will be prepared.
