Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent Security Council members, addressing current socioeconomic issues on the Russian domestic agenda, as well as international issues.
Particular attention was given to issues of cooperation between Russia and the European Union in view of the EU-Russia summit scheduled for December 21, 2012.
Participants in the meeting included Speaker of the Council of Federation Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov and permanent Security Council member Boris Gryzlov.
