On March 17, Vladimir Putin will chair at the Kremlin the 36th meeting of the Russian Pobeda [Victory] Organising Committee.
Preparations for celebrating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War will be the main item on the agenda. In particular, the participants will hear a report from the Committee’s head, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, on the state of preparations for the celebrations in Moscow and in the regions.
The Government will present the main provisions of a comprehensive report on the results of work at federal and regional level to improve the socioeconomic circumstances of Great Patriotic War veterans.
Great Patriotic War veterans and the heads of public veterans’ and youth organisations will also take part in the meeting.
