The President expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims of the accident in the Moscow metro and wished speedy recover to those injured.
The President issued instructions to Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin to conduct an appropriate investigation and to launch criminal proceedings in connection with the catastrophe that has led to the death of people.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin provided the President with the details of the accident in the Moscow metro and briefed him on the work to establish the causes of the accident and on relief measures.
The President heard telephone reports from Emergency Minister Vladimir Puchkov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova, who briefed him on the efforts undertaken by their respective ministries.
