Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, who is VTB United League president, presented prizes to the best players of the VTB United League regular-season basketball tournament during a reception in Moscow.
Sergei Karasev, a guard for Russia’s Triumph team, was awarded the title of VTB United League Young Player of the Year. Earl Rowland, a guard for Latvia’s VEF, became the 2012/13 VTB United League regular-season MVP (Most Valuable Player).
VTB United League is a club basketball tournament established in 2008. Twenty of the strongest teams from Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Kazakhstan took part in the fourth VTB United League tournament.
