Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov took part in the opening of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) conference – Global Strategic Review, and addressed its plenary session.
Mr Ivanov answered journalists’ questions after the meeting.
The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office also met with Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt to discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the situation in Syria.
The international conference Global Strategic Review analyses defence and security policy and facilitates assessments of global events and development of instruments for combating new threats and challenges.
The International Institute for Strategic Studies was founded in London in 1958 as an independent non-governmental think tank on strategic security in the world.
