Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov attended a gala evening honouring National Artist of the USSR Vladimir Zeldin at the Russian Army Theatre.
Sergei Ivanov warmly congratulated Vladimir Zeldin on his 100th birthday, noting his great creative journey and amazing dedication to one theatre (Mr Zeldin has been performing at the Russian Army Theatre for over 60 years). Mr Ivanov announced that Vladimir Zeldin would be awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, I Degree.
In addition, Sergei Ivanov congratulated Mr Zeldin on behalf of the Central Sports Army Club (CSKA) hockey, football and basketball teams, reminding the guests at the gala event that the actor is a CSKA fan.
