Maria Lvova-Belova met with Patriarch Kirill at Novye Berega inclusive art estate

Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia visited the Novye Berega inclusive art estate in the village of Bogoslovka, Penza Region.

The estate, founded by Maria Lvova-Belova in 2018, is an assisted living facility for people with physical or mental disabilities. Here they launch their creative, educational, entrepreneurial and other projects, and undergo training and internships. The territory, with a total area of ​​7,600 square metres, includes six houses for 120 people, a church, a rehabilitation and health centre with a sauna and a swimming pool, massage rooms and a gym, an educational centre, a sports ground, a concert venue, a cafe with a workshop for the production of semi-finished products and other facilities.

Ms Lvova-Belova gave the Patriarch a tour of Novye Berega, introduced him to the residents, and showed him the conditions in which they live, study and work.

During the visit, Patriarch Kirill was accompanied by Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov, Governor of the Penza Region Oleg Melnichenko, Metropolitan Seraphim of Penza and Nizhny Lomov, and Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza Region Valery Lidin.
