Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov co-chaired a meeting of the State Council commission on small and medium-sized businesses, via videoconference.
Taking part in the meeting were Deputy Minister of Economic Development Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Chair of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Alexander Dyomin, and deputies of top regional officials, responsible federal executive bodies, sectoral unions, businesses, expert organisations and development institutions.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin said that the commission should align its proposals for new national projects with the strategic goals outlined by the President in his Address to the Federal Assembly. Additionally, Igor Levitin emphasised the importance of the State Council’s specialised commission in taking a comprehensive approach to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they play a vital role in all new national projects.
During the commission meeting, reports were delivered by Chief of the Government Relations and Special Projects Department at Sberbank Oleg Semenenko, Strategy Advisor at the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects Sergei Cherkasov, Deputy Chair of the Government of the Donetsk People’s Republic Vladimir Zverkov, and Yelena Dybova, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting participants discussed increasing incomes and employee efficiency within SMEs, improving the taxation system, and developing associated infrastructure.
The approved proposals from the meeting will be forwarded to the competent federal executive bodies.
