Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov chaired a meeting of the Presidential Council for Countering Corruption Presidium at the Kremlin.
The meeting participants examined anti-corruption efforts undertaken by regional government bodies in the Southern Federal District and measures to make them more effective. Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov presented a report on the subject.
Also discussed were the results of a programme for training anti-corruption specialists at the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Mr Ivanov noted that government employees directly engaged in anti-corruption work have been actively involved in the programme with the aim of passing on their practical experience.
Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina took part in the meeting and spoke about the Central Bank’s anti-corruption efforts.
The meeting also examined a number of matters concerning compliance with rules of conduct for civil servants and settling conflicts of interest between senior state officials.
