Mr Vekselberg briefed Dmitry Medvedev on the Skolkovo Innovation Centre’s current activities and the programmes the Skolkovo Foundation is currently carrying out.
Mr Vekselberg said that 427 residents have been registered at Skolkovo to date and more than 10,000 applications have been received in total. Financial support totalling 6.3 billion rubles (more than $200 million) has already been given to 100 participants.
Mr Vekselberg also proposed holding a scientists and innovators’ summit in Russia during Russia’s presidency of the G8 and G20.
