Vladimir Putin took part in a working meeting of the heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
The summit's agenda covered a number of issues, including boosting of gas consumption and development of world gas markets, as well as possible steps to protect the interests of gas producing countries.
Following the meeting, a Joint Declaration was adopted reflecting the principled approaches of the GECF member states on priorities for world gas markets development.
Vladimir Putin made press statement and answered journalists' questions.
The First Gas Summit was held in Doha (Qatar) in November of 2011.
