Acting President Vladimir Putin took part in the reception organised on behalf of Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity of Christ

The reception took place in the Refectory of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. It gathered representatives of various confessions, members of the government, and famous public and political figures.

Vladimir Putin wished the guests a happy Christmas and thanked the Russian Orthodox Church and other confessions for their contribution to the consolidation of the Russian society.
