In his letter, the President stressed Russia’s readiness to hold a constructive dialogue with Lithuania, and to develop good-neighbourly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation taking into consideration the legal interests of both countries.
Mr Putin expressed hope that the forthcoming Russian-Lithuanian summit would bring the two countries closer together.
The Presidents exchanged their letters ahead of Mr Adamkus’ visit to Russia scheduled for March 29–31.
