Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Argentine Republic Mauricio Macri. The Russian leader congratulated Mr Macri on assuming the office of President of Argentina.
The parties underscored their readiness for joint constructive efforts to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Argentina. They also emphasised the importance of continuity in the implementation of priority Russian-Argentinian trade and economic projects.
The leaders agreed to continue dialogue on topical issues on the international and regional agenda, including in the context of the establishing interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Latin American integration association MERCOSUR.
