The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council convened in Sochi. The meeting was attended by Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Nikol Pashinyan.
The participants discussed cooperation in the energy sector, the digital economy, medicine and the environment, as well as granting the status of observer state to Moldova.
A number of documents were signed at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council: a resolution granting the Republic of Moldova the status of an observer state within the Eurasian Economic Union, an Agreement on EAEU International Agreements with Third Countries, International Organisations or International Integration Associations, resolutions on the macro-economic guidelines for EAEU member states for 2018–2019, as well as on liberalisation in some services sectors of the EAEU, and on the Eurasian economic integration.
Earlier that day, the President of Russia held bilateral meetings with each of the summit participants.
