Vladimir Putin sent Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe a message expressing his deepest condolences over the numerous deaths and large-scale destruction caused by floods and landslides in the south of Japan.

“Please convey my words of sympathy and support to the victims’ families and my wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured,” President of Russia wrote in his message.
