During the meeting, Head of Ingushetia Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov reported to Vladimir Putin on the current socioeconomic situation in the Republic.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President noted that agricultural production was growing in the Republic and industrial production was edging up.
Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov said agriculture had been a neglected area, but much has been done. Crop yield was about 15–16 centners, and today this indicator in the Republic amounts to more than 30 centners per hectare for oats, about 40 for barley, and 40 for wheat, and some districts boast more than 50 c/ha, and corn is even over 75. Total grain harvest exceeded 280,000 tonnes.
In addition, the number of small cattle was increased in the Republic. Allocation of fertiliser and seeds was taken under control, while all relations in the agricultural sphere are now legally regulated.
Much has been done to reduce food prices, to form a food basket. This year the Republic doubled crop production areas for potatoes and vegetables.
The Head of the Republic told the President that in order to bring down the prices forced up by second-hand dealers, the authorities organised fairs. In 2022, more than 30 fairs were held. Food gift baskets were compiled for low-income families for holidays of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. Heads of rural administrations and clergy provided the lists, and volunteers delivered them to the districts.
Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov said that special attention is paid to the participants in the special military operation and their families. In particular, it was decided to allocate land plots and material resources for their development to those who have been mobilised or signed a military service contract.
The President noted that Ingushetia is lagging behind in terms of construction. Mr Kalimatov referred to land scarcity and the problem with violations in land use, which has emerged long ago. According to Mr Kalimatov, this is no longer the case under the Republic’s current government.
In general, the Head of the Republic stressed that the sociopolitical and socioeconomic situation in the region is adequate.
