Vladimir Putin met on Thursday night with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants discussed the political situation in Ukraine and related developments, in particular the increasing number of refugees arriving in Russia from Ukraine. Matters concerning the President’s visit to Latin American countries were also on the agenda.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
