Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
Russian gas supplies to Ukraine was one of the subjects discussed, with the meeting’s participants stressing the need to guarantee full transit of gas supplies via Ukraine to consumers in Eastern and Western Europe.
An exchange of views on the implementation of the Minsk agreements in Ukraine also took place.
The meeting’s agenda also included development of integration efforts within the Eurasian Economic Union in light of the upcoming summit between the member countries. Combating corruption was discussed as a separate item on the agenda.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
