Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council to discuss current issues pertaining to the country’s socioeconomic development.
Also on the agenda were international issues, in particular, the Syrian issue in the context of preparations for the next Syrian peace talks, scheduled for early July in Astana (Kazakhstan).
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin.
