Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Deputy Chairman of the State Council Commission on Industry, First Deputy Governor of the Tula Region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev co-chaired a regular meeting of the State Council Commission on Industry held via videoconference.
Those attending included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade Vladimir Gutenev, representatives of relevant federal and regional government authorities and the business community.
In his opening remarks, Denis Manturov noted that the situation in the manufacturing industries remains stable and under control, which makes it possible to focus on supporting projects aimed at ensuring Russia’s technological sovereignty and the production of priority goods.
First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov presented the draft Consolidated Strategy for the Development of the Manufacturing Industry of the Russian Federation until 2024 and for the period until 2035. The document, which incorporated the commission members’ proposals, stipulates the extension of the anti-crisis support measures and the provision of funding for priority manufacturing industries.
Vladimir Gutenev spoke about the effort carried out by the State Duma to improve legislation in order to ensure Russia’s technological sovereignty, create demand for Russian goods and consolidate the precedence of Russian industry in the complex projects implemented at the federal and regional levels.
Igor Levitin instructed the commission to consider the possibility of supporting the Russian manufacturing industry and prepare materials and proposals to be included in the report compiled for the State Council meeting.
