Presidential Aide, State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev chaired a meeting of the State Council Commission on Education.
The meeting, held both in person and via videoconference, was attended by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, Orel Region Governor Andrei Klychkov, Chair of the State Duma Committee on Education Olga Kazakova, Chair of the Council of the Sirius Federal Territory, Head of the Talent and Success Foundation Yelena Shmeleva, State Duma deputies, representatives of federal and regional government bodies, municipalities, as well as teaching and scientific community.
The meeting participants discussed the preparation of new national projects.
In line with the list of Presidential instructions dated April 10, 2024, the Government must develop basic principles for preparing new national projects, as well as approaches to creating a management system for these projects and determining mechanisms to co-finance them, considering the specifics of each project, and submit relevant materials to the Presidential Executive Office and the State Council Commission for consideration at a joint meeting of the State Council and the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin outlined the procedure and timeframe for preparations for the abovementioned meeting, as well as the need to analyse the achievement of indicators set forth in the May 2018 executive orders.
Sergei Kravtsov noted in his speech that special attention will be paid not only to further creating and upgrading the educational infrastructure of kindergartens, schools, and colleges, but also to updating the contents of education, and training personnel for various sectors of the economy.
Chair of the State Council Commission on Education, Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev noted the importance of building a uniform system of education in schools and colleges and expressed confidence that efforts to improve the educational environment, create and develop various areas of further education, and close cooperation between the teaching and parent communities will be a significant contribution to achieving the goals of projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education.
The meeting participants made proposals for improving approaches and tools for achieving the goals of the new national projects: Family, Personnel, and Youth of Russia.
Proposals made by the Commission members will be submitted for consideration at a joint meeting of the State Council and the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.
