Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Belarus’ national holiday, Independence Day.
The President noted that this holiday, celebrated on the date marking Belarus’ liberation from Nazi occupation, preserves the memory of the Great Victory won through joint efforts 70 years ago.
Mr Putin gave a high assessment of the rapid growth in Russian-Belarusian cooperation in various areas and cooperation in integration projects such as the Russia-Belarus Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union.
The President said he is sure that two countries will continue to develop their partnership in all different areas.
