Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired a meeting in Voronezh to discuss the implementation of Presidential instructions issued following a State Council Presidium meeting on road safety in March 2016.
The meeting was attended by Voronezh Region Governor Alexei Gordeyev, First Deputy Transport Minister Yevgeny Ditrikh, Head of the Road Traffic Safety Department at the Interior Ministry Viktor Nilov, and representatives of the federal executive agencies, public organisations and the business community.
The meeting participants focused on the implementation of the Presidential instructions to improve road traffic safety and draft corresponding laws, as well as the introduction of GLONASS-based navigation information technology in order to improve road traffic safety.
Igor Levitin pointed to the importance of the timely and full implementation of the decisions taken following the State Council Presidium meeting on road safety in Russia.
