Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The discussion focussed on various aspects related to preparations for the fourth summit of the heads of Caspian states scheduled to take place this autumn.
Also, the meeting discussed in detail the situation in Ukraine, which quickly deteriorates following President Poroshenko's order to end the ceasefire.
Taking part in the meeting were Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
