Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu briefed the meeting on the results of the completed Kavkaz-2016 military exercises.
The participants had a detailed exchange of views in the run-up to the CIS summit to take place in Bishkek at the end of next week, and discussed current socioeconomic issues.
Taking part in the meeting were Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
