Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council. The meeting participants exchanged views on international issues, in particular the situation in Syria and prospects for a settlement in the context of the Astana and Geneva talks. They also discussed the situation in Ukraine, as well as the domestic socioeconomic agenda.
The meeting was attended by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin.
