Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin and Chelyabinsk Region Governor and head of theState Council working group on economy and finance Alexei Teksler chaired a working group meeting.
The event, held via videoconference, was attended by Kirov Region Governor Igor Vasilyev, Kostroma Region Governor Sergei Sitnikov, deputy heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in charge of economic development and finance, representatives of the State Duma, Accounts Chamber, relevant federal executive bodies, expert organisations and development institutions.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin stressed the need to continue active work with the Government and federal ministries on national projects, launched at the expanded meeting of the State Council presidium on the implementation, in the Russian regions of the Executive Order On National Development Goals until 2030, held on September 28, 2020.
Alexei Teksler reported on the progress in fulfilling the President’s instructions issued following the expanded meeting of the State Council presidium, which are within the scope of the working group he heads. He also reported on the work with the Finance Ministry and Economic Development Ministry on improving approaches to establishing inter-budget relations in order to ensure stability and fiscal balance of the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation
Following the discussion, proposals were drafted to be submitted for consideration at the joint meeting of the State Council and the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects in December.
