Vladimir Putin discussed with the Security Council’s permanent members current socio-economic issues and the international situation, including in the context of the discussions underway at the UN General Assembly. Mr Putin also raised the question of taking urgent measures to combat drunk driving.
Taking part in the meeting were: Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov.
