Laying wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

After the military parade in Red Square, Vladimir Putin and the heads of foreign states and governments who arrived in Moscow to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden and paid tribute to the war victims with a moment of silence.

Taking part in the ceremony were UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman, President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro, President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, and other guests of honour.
