Vladimir Putin held a briefing with permanent members of the Security Council. Issues discussed included integration processes as part of the Common Economic Space, relations with the European Union and the situation in Syria. The meeting took place in the context of the President’s upcoming foreign visits.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov and Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev.
