Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board Alexei Miller. Mr Miller briefed the President on the situation with Russian gas exports to Europe and the company’s current activities, including work at the Tambey fields in the Yamal region and the state of progress on the Turkish Stream pipeline project.

The CEO of Gazprom reported to the President on the company’s performance in 2016.

Vladimir Putin via videoconference launched the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 2 gas pipeline and the Zapolyarye-Purpe and Kuyumba-Taishet oil pipelines.

Vladimir Putin observed via video linkup the start of operations to unload the first supplies of oil extracted from the Arctic continental shelf in the Pechora Sea from the stationary ice-resistant offshore oil platform Prirazlomnaya to the tanker Mikhail Ushakov. 

Vladimir Putin held a planned meeting with Government members to discuss implementing the Finance Ministry’s programme of work for 2013–2018, the situation on the stock and currency markets, and other current issues.

The meeting discussed implementation of the Eastern Gas Programme, development of the Chayanda and Kovykta gas fields in Siberia, construction of pipeline transport routes, developing a unified gas supply system for the country, and developing the gas-chemicals sector.
