Russian-Kyrgyzstani talks

Vladimir Putin held talks with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.

The talks featured discussions on political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union.

Following the talks, Vladimir Putin and Almazbek Atambayev adopted a Joint Declaration of the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, the two heads of state presided over the signing of the Protocol to amend and supplement the Russian-Kyrgyzstani Agreement on technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan as part of its accession to the EAEU dated March 31, 2015, as well as a Memorandum between Kyrgyzstan’s Healthcare Ministry and the Russian Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) on cooperation in fighting infectious diseases.

Vladimir Putin and Almazbek Atambayev held a joint news conference.
