The Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova visited the Tomsk Region as part of a nationwide inspection of the social orphanhood prevention system. The commissioner met with head of the region Vladimir Mazur, held an expanded meeting with the prevention system bodies and institutions’ senior officials, and inspected the children’s homes.

The participants discussed the industrial use of ash and slag waste from coal-fired thermal power stations.
