Presidential Aide and Special Presidential Representative for Climate and Water Resources Ruslan Edelgeriyev headed the delegation of the Russian Federation at the 4^th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028” hosted by the capital of Tajikistan on May 25 through 28.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev briefed the President on the situation in the agrarian complex, in particular, the spring sowing campaign, the establishment of agricultural biotechnology parks, and the situation in livestock breeding. Special attention was given to improving the quality of life in rural areas.

First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko chaired a meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the Support of Environmental and Nature Conservation Projects, where a decision was made to allocate presidential grants for 2026.

Presidential Aide, Special Presidential Representative on Climate Issues and Water Resources Ruslan Edelgeriyev chaired the 45th meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

The President signed Executive Order On Sergei Borisovich Ivanov.

The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to Federal Law On Protecting Lake Baikal and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.

The discussion revolved around developing the Arctic and other important regional matters.

The Russian delegation has completed its work at the 30^th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belem, Brazil, on November 10–21, 2025. A key outcome of the session was the adoption of a balanced package of decisions that does not undermine the national interests of energy-producing states.

Presidential Aide, Special Presidential Representative for Climate and Water Resources Ruslan Edelgeriyev represented the Russian Federation at the Belém Climate Summit, held on November 6–7 in Belém, Brazil, ahead of the 30^th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30).

The discussion focused on the international water resources management and the importance of promoting Russian environmental norms and standards in the global environmental agenda for the benefit of Russian citizens.
