Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov met with Director of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Zhanshu during his two-day visit to the People’s Republic of China.
The talks addressed a broad range of issues related to interaction between the Russian Presidential Executive Office and the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Also, the discussion focused on the further development of bilateral relations, as well as preparations for the Russian President’s visit to China later this year.
Following the meeting, Sergei Ivanov and Li Zhanshu signed a Protocol of Cooperation between the Presidential Executive Office and the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
On Friday, Mr Ivanov will meet with Head of the Central Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Liu Qibao and Head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China Wang Qishan. The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office will also attend the opening ceremony of the Russia-China Media Forum. Later in the day, Mr Ivanov will have a separate meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping.
