During his trip to Kolomna, Vladimir Putin visited the local perinatal centre.
The President toured doctors’ offices and was informed about the work of the consultative, diagnostic and x-ray teams. He was also shown how the telemedicine system operates. Owing to the system of unified archiving of medical data, doctors are able to consult their colleagues from other institutions and to conduct a remote case conference if needed. Video linkups allow patients from remote areas to receive a consultation.
Vladimir Putin also visited the training module where doctors use a special mannequin to practice resuscitation of a newborn and delivery with the use of modern technology.
The President spoke briefly with patients and their family members.
During his visit to the centre, the President was accompanied by Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, Healthcare Minister Veronika Skvortsova and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District Alexei Gordeyev. The tour of the centre was conducted by its head doctor Natalya Alimova.
