Vladimir Putin visited the reinstated Tula Suvorov Military Academy. The head of state participated in the ceremony to present the school colours to cadets.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the use of the defence industry’s potential in the production of high-tech civilian goods that find demand on domestic and export markets. The meeting took place at the premises of the Research and Production Enterprise SPLAV.

The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office attended an opening ceremony for the Memory Watch-2016 national campaign, addressed a plenary meeting of the 3^rd Congress of the Russian Search Movement, the Russian National Public Movement to Perpetuate the Memory of Those Killed While Defending the Motherland. Sergei Ivanov also held a meeting with Acting Governor of Tula Region Alexei Dyumin.

During the meeting, the President announced that he accepted the resignation of Tula Region Governor Vladimir Gruzdev and appointed former Deputy Defence Minister Alexei Dyumin Acting Governor of Tula Region.

The President signed Executive Order On Early Termination of Mandate of Tula Region Governor.

The third meeting of the State Council working group On Measures to Promote Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Russian Federation was held in Tula.

The head of Tula Region briefed the President on the region’s socioeconomic situation.

As part of a working visit to Tula Region, Vladimir Putin visited the KBP Instrument Design Bureau, where he chaired a meeting on the work of the Advanced Research Foundation.

Mr Gruzdev briefed Vladimir Putin on the socio-economic situation in the region.

Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Gruzdev discussed the socioeconomic situation and big investment projects in the region. 

Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the current and former employees of the Tula Arms Plant on its 300th anniversary.

The United Russia leaders presented to Dmitry Medvedev their list of candidates for the post of governor of Tula Region, and President of the United Russia Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov briefed the President on the primaries underway for candidates from the National Front in the run-up to the State Duma election.

Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On Early Termination of the Mandate of Tula Region Governor. The Executive Order appoints Vladimir Gruzdev acting head of the region.

Dmitry Medvedev discussed with residents of Nenashevo village current problems affecting farmers.

In accordance with the Federal Law On the Police Force, the President issued executive order on appointments to senior Interior Ministry posts.

The meeting examined implementation of presidential instructions in a number of areas, including preventing unjustified housing and utilities tariff hikes, preparation of the housing and utilities sector for winter, reorganisation of state corporations, effective use of budget funds in the state procurement system, and provision of housing for Great Patriotic War veterans.
