While on a visit to France, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office visited the Museum of His Majesty’s Lifeguards Cossack Regiment in the Paris suburb of Courbevoie, where he presented the museum with parade uniforms and eleven copies of Russian Cossack military society banners, as well as a collection of documents entitled Don Cossacks in the 1812 Patriotic War and Foreign Campaigns of 1813–1814.
In his speech, Sergei Ivanov noted that the Museum of His Majesty’s Lifeguards Cossack Regiment holds a special place among foreign museums related to Russia, since it maintains the memory of one of Russia’s oldest military units.
Later, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office participated in celebratory events dedicated to the completion of the Moscow-Paris Horse Cavalry March on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the 1812 Patriotic War.
