In cooperation with the head of the healthcare working group, Ivanovo Region Governor Stanislav Voskresensky and Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin held an on-site working group meeting on preparing an expanded State Council Presidium session on the regions’ tasks for healthcare in the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by several regional governors including Kirov Region Governor Igor Vasilyev, Novgorod Region Governor Andrei Nikitin, Perm Territory Governor Maxim Reshetnikov, Belgorod Region Governor Yevgeny Savchenko, Presidential Aide Alexandra Levitskaya, First Deputy Healthcare Minister Tatyana Yakovleva, Deputy Healthcare Minister Yevgeny Kamkin, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Valery Ryazansky, and deputy heads of regional governors in charge of social policy and healthcare, as well as executives of healthcare organisations in Belgorod Region.
The participants visited healthcare institutions in Belgorod Region, including general practitioners’ offices and family medical centres. They learned about the peculiarities of their work and met with doctors and patients.
Igor Levitin noted the high level of primary healthcare in Belgorod Region and positively assessed the results of the introduction of the health management programme in the region.
Members of the working group discussed the report on the tasks of the Russian regions in healthcare and the group’s proposals for its improvement.
