In the course of his working visit to the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to discuss prospects for developing relations between the two countries and pressing matters on the international agenda.

In a ceremony at the Kremlin’s Catherine Hall, Vladimir Putin presented the Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists. The prize was established in 2008 and is awarded for contributions to advancing Russian science and innovation and aims to encourage laureates to pursue further projects.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov to discuss trade unions’ proposals regarding factors that need to be considered in the anti-crisis programme that is being developed.
