From September 11 to 13, President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to the Republic of India to attend the 18th BRICS Summit. The event will be held in New Delhi, as the association marks its 20th anniversary.

Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin with President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff established by BRICS countries.

Yury Chikhanchin informed the President about the performance of the national money-laundering prevention system and international cooperation in the field of financial security. The service continues to actively monitor the use of budgetary funds and counter corruption, as well as the financing of drug trafficking, terrorism and extremism, including through the use of cryptocurrencies. A separate area of focus is the prevention of citizens’ involvement in various shadow financial schemes.

Vladimir Putin took part, via videoconference, in the main plenary session of the 17^th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, under Brazilian Chairmanship.

On the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin met with Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank established by BRICS countries.
