Vladimir Putin welcomed US Secretary of State John Kerry to the Kremlin. Mr Kerry is in Russia on a working visit.

Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting on the implementation of presidential executive orders signed on the inauguration day of May 7, 2012.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with director of the Dima Rogachev Federal Research and Clinical Centre of Paediatric Haematology, Oncology and Immunology Alexander Rumyantsev and the Centre’s deputy director and chief medical officer Galina Novichkova.

Vladimir Putin visited the Maria Savina Theatre Veterans’ Home where renovations will finish in May, and met with theatre community representatives.

Vladimir Putin awarded Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation medals and title certificates to five Russian citizens for their outstanding achievements in state and public work and their big contribution to Russia’s socioeconomic development, including in production, transport, construction, science, culture, education, and healthcare. 

Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society, a nationwide public organisation.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Presidential Council for Science and Education.

Meeting participants discussed the development of Nizhny Tagil. Regional representatives also attended the meeting.

The subjects discussed included implementation of the President’s Annual Address to the Federal Assembly and the presidential executive orders of May 2012. 

After the Direct Line programme, Vladimir Putin met with members of the media to answer their questions.

Direct Line with Vladimir Putin was broadcast live on Channel One, Rossiya-1 and Rossiya-24 TV networks and Mayak, Vesti FM and Radio Rossii radio stations.

Yesterday evening Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Presidential Aide Elvira Nabiullina.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting on measures for ensuring the Russian economy’s stable growth.

Vladimir Putin and President of Egypt Mohammed Morsi discussed bilateral cooperation in various sectors, in particular opportunities for big joint projects.

Following the world junior hockey championship’s opening match between Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin met with the directors, shareholders and sponsors of Russian hockey clubs.
