Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of Russia’s Security Council.
The subjects of discussion included the results of the recent G20 summit in Mexico, current social and economic issues on the domestic agenda, and the global economic situation, including in light of Mr Putin’s contacts with heads of global investment and energy companies at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum the day before.
Taking part in the meeting were: Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
